ABOUT

I am a Jersey City–based potter with more than 10 years of experience creating handcrafted ceramics. Inspired by Japanese pottery, the beauty of plants and the natural world, and a love of color, I create work that balances function, form, and expression.

My practice is rooted in curiosity and exploration, and I am continually drawn to different ceramic processes, firing methods, and glazing techniques. I am especially inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, finding beauty in imperfection, simplicity, and the natural passage of time. I enjoy exploring the contrast between the quiet, organic qualities of Wabi-Sabi and the vibrant energy of color.

My favorite pieces to create are planters, which I see as vessels that support and celebrate living forms. Looking ahead, I am excited to further explore Japanese ikebana vessels and the relationship between ceramics, plants, and the art of arrangement.
